Big Apple Blues
This
compilation of original music spans much of the career of a regional jazz
and blues singer/songwriter. The portrait of Ms. Lewis yet to be dropped
in will be shot by Jeff Smith Photography, Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.
The moody photo suggest the timbre of the songs on the CD - true bluesy
original numbers reflecting on humanity and hard times. Comments and insights
from the artist are particular to the production of the CD. Here there
will be text describing performance history and background of Evelyn S.
Lewis and her band, including quotes from newspaper reviews and radio
interviews. Each member of the group will be featured. Lyrics to each
tune will be available on the web site. Original artwork for the title
cut suggests a hint of cosmic humor and the element of hope present in
each tune.
